La French Tech Atlanta – a French government supported ecosystem of startups, investors, decision-makers, and community builders – hosted an incredible evening last month as part of their France-Atlanta Evening in Tech. The event, sponsored by Morgan Stanley, Peachtree Corners, OVHcloud US, Orbiss and Georgia Tech, invited innovators and startups from across the region for a night of valuable networking and listening to insights from industry leaders. The highlight of the event was its 2022 Crystal Pitch Competition as part of its support in expanding local and France-based startups throughout Atlanta, the Southeast and in Europe.

Together with the French American Chamber of Commerce Atlanta, La French Tech invited five startups to deliver a five minute pitch where they were able to highlight their solutions, their future plans and expand on the impact their solutions will have on communities across the globe.

The winner of the pitch competition won one year of free desk space at the Curiosity Lab, up to $120,000 in OVHcloud US credits, entry into a mentorship program from the French Trade Advisors and French Tech Atlanta Board and two tickets for the France-Atlanta Gala Closing Ceremony.

Startup Wins Pitch Competition for Virus Control Solution

Hypercell Technologies was selected to take home the prize as the first-ever Crystal Pitch Competition winner. Hypercell Technologies’ Dr. Bruno Jactel delivered the winning pitch at the competition, explaining how its solution would bring global impact to how viruses spread amongst farms and animal communities.

The team at Hypercell created a solution aimed to stop future pandemics in humans by proactively controlling viruses in animal reservoirs. As seen first-hand over the past few years, viral infections and diseases can have a long-lasting, detrimental impact on both animals and humans, and by implementing rapid diagnostic solutions directly within the farming ecosystem, Hypercell Technologies believes its solutions will be able to treat and mitigate the quick spread of infectious diseases, decreasing the impact felt on the human population and the farmer’s wallets.
