On February 2, 2023, Gas South District hosted its second Speaker Series event centered around the topic of “A Conversation on Crime,” where attendees had the opportunity to listen to individuals in the law enforcement industry. To support the community, a portion of the event’s profits was donated to the Seeking The Right Amendable Path (STRAP) program. STRAP is a six-month initiative that rescues and motivates at-risk youth in Gwinnett County. Gas South District’s CEO, Stan Hall, expressed that the law enforcement agencies and court system support this program, which teaches character building, responsibility, leadership, integrity, knowledge, and empowerment through life lessons such as budgeting, investing, healthy relationships, college and career preparation, and coping with emotions. STRAP’s CEO, Steven Cooley, further added that their mission is to educate youth on decision-making and the consequences of their choices, aiming to enable them to make more informed decisions daily.
