Lawrenceville residents may soon have another convenient spot to grab their morning coffee and treats, as Dunkin’ plans to expand its presence in the city.

According to a recent building permit application filed with Gwinnett County, Dunkin’ intends to open a new location at 1638 Lawrenceville Highway. The proposed store will occupy a 2,131-square-foot building, providing locals another easy stop for coffee and breakfast favorites.

Dunkin’, originally founded in 1950 as Dunkin’ Donuts, is the largest coffee and donut chain in the United States, boasting over 13,200 locations globally. In 2019, the brand simplified its name to Dunkin’ to highlight its wide range of beverages and menu items beyond donuts. The company, now part of Inspire Brands since 2020, already operates five locations in Lawrenceville.

Alongside its iconic donuts, Dunkin’s menu offers an extensive selection of coffee beverages, teas, and energy drinks, along with popular all-day breakfast items such as sandwiches, bagels, and muffins.

This new Dunkin’ franchise will be managed by Shamran Kurani, an experienced franchisee and CEO of Kurani Food Group.

Lawrenceville is located northeast of Atlanta, making it an attractive area for continued retail and dining expansion.
