LAWRENCEVILLE, GA – July 27, 2026 — The City of Lawrenceville, in partnership with Gwinnett County Government, the Gwinnett County Public Library, and the Lawrenceville Arts Center, invites residents and visitors to celebrate America 250: Celebrating Our Journey, a free, family-friendly festival commemorating America’s 250-year story on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. throughout Downtown Lawrenceville, Georgia.
The all-day event will transform Downtown Lawrenceville into an interactive celebration of American history, culture, music, and community, offering activities for all ages across several historic venues. The event concludes with a live performance by the Lawrenceville Symphony Orchestra and a spectacular drone show over the Lawrenceville Lawn.

Parking & Shuttle Information
Getting to Downtown Lawrenceville is easy.
Visitors can take advantage of EZ-2 Park, which provides more than 1,200 parking spaces within walking distance of the Downtown Square and Lawrenceville Lawn.
Free shuttle service will operate throughout the event with convenient stops at:
- Lawrenceville Female Seminary
- Clayton Street & Crogan Street
- Hooper-Renwick Library
The shuttle allows guests to easily visit every event location without moving their vehicles.
Road Closures
Drivers should plan ahead as several roads will close for the event.
- Langley Drive at Constitution Boulevard closes at 12:00 p.m.
- Langley Drive fully closes at 9:00 p.m.
