Free Food Distribution

Food Distribution: Food insecurity is a challenge that many in our community face, but Gwinnett County is committed to ensuring that no one has to go hungry. In partnership with the Atlanta Community Food Bank, the county continues its award-winning Mobile Food Distribution program to provide immediate relief to families in need.

If you or someone you know could benefit from fresh produce and shelf-stable groceries, we invite you to join us for our upcoming event in Lawrenceville.

  • Date: Tuesday, January 13, 2026
  • Time: 3:00pm (until supplies last)

What You Need to Know Before You Go

  • First-Come, First-Served: Distribution begins at 3:00pm and will continue only as long as supplies last.

More Than Just Food

The Gwinnett County Mobile Food Distribution program is about more than just a box of groceries. This initiative has served millions of pounds of food to hundreds of thousands of residents since 2020. Beyond food, these events often serve as a gateway to other vital county resources, including:

  • Home Safety: Information on free smoke detector installation from Fire and Emergency Services.
  • Utility Assistance: Help with plumbing repairs and water-saving fixtures through Water Resources.
  • Community Navigators: On-site experts who can connect residents to housing support, healthcare, and job resources.

Find More Resources

If you cannot make it to this event, Gwinnett County offers food assistance year-round through a network of local cooperative ministries and additional park sites like Best Friend Park, Bryson Park, and Lenora Park.
