The Gwinnett Chamber Foundation (GCF) has been named the 2025 Community Partner of the Year by the Georgia Hispanic Construction Association (GHCA). The prestigious recognition was presented during the Building Georgia Awards at The Westin Atlanta Gwinnett, celebrating organizations that strengthen Georgia’s construction and business ecosystem.

The Community Partner of the Year Award highlights the Foundation’s unwavering commitment to collaboration, business education, and community partnership, especially in support of Georgia’s growing Hispanic construction sector. GHCA recognized GCF for its leadership in expanding access to resources, building cross-community relationships, and championing small business growth across the state.

“Partnership is at the heart of GHCA’s mission, and the Gwinnett Chamber Foundation has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to empowering the Hispanic construction community,” said Gabriela Matute, Executive Director of the Georgia Hispanic Construction Association. “Their work has strengthened relationships and created opportunities that contribute to the economic vitality of our state.”

The Gwinnett Chamber Foundation plays a significant role in driving economic resilience, leadership development, and sustainable growth in Gwinnett County and beyond. Through its programming, the Foundation supports small businesses with tailored education, strategic resources, and community-building initiatives designed to accelerate long-term success.

“We are honored to receive this recognition from GHCA,” said Deirdra Cox, Executive Director of the Gwinnett Chamber Foundation. “This award reflects the power of partnership and our shared commitment to accelerating business success, creating opportunities, and empowering leaders to thrive.”

GCF Board Chair Matthew Yarborough added, “Deirdra’s commitment and strategic leadership have elevated the Foundation’s impact. She has helped create sustainable pathways that enable small business owners to achieve lasting growth. Our board looks forward to another year of strengthening economic opportunities for our community.”

The Building Georgia Awards, hosted annually by GHCA, spotlight individuals and organizations that drive innovation, workforce development, and meaningful collaboration within Georgia’s construction industry.

The Gwinnett Chamber Foundation will continue championing small business growth at its upcoming Power of Impact Gala on December 3 at Bear’s Best in Suwanee. Community members and business leaders are invited to attend and support the Foundation’s mission of expanding business success across the region.
