The Breakfast Club

Talk about a busy weekend. My weekend started with the Gwinnett Business Breakfast Club, which I host the second Friday of each month at Peachtree Cafe’ downtown Lawrenceville. This is where me and other entrepreneurs get together to discuss business over breakfast. In attendance was fellow podcaster Lamar Clark, filmmaker Dominique Hagler, business strategist Kimla Proctor, natural hair business owner Alexis Proctor, web designer Nikki Agu, Neal was new to the group and he was in business funding and Gary is a financial advisor.

We had a great time sharing business tips and strategies over breakfast.

Gwinnett County 2040 Unified Plan For Centerville

My next stop was at the Senior Center where I learned even more about Gwinnett County, but specifically about the plan the county has for Centerville, which is located in unincorporated Gwinnett County. I learned about zoning & rezoning. These are things that up until that day were a mystery to me. I feel way better informed about the process. There were many county divisions that I learned about at this event that I will break down in more articles moving forward.

The Masquerade Ball

I ended my weekend by attending the masquerade ball sponsored by BT Parker to support the Boys & Girls Club. This was my first time ever attending a masquerade ball. Although I had a great time, I must admit that the mask that I was wearing was really hot. Now that I know what to expect for next year, I will get a mask that won’t be so hot.
