The Fourth Annual State of Technology Summit, held on December 10, brought together leaders from business, education, and the community to explore how technology is shaping the future of the metro Atlanta region. Presented by Amazon and hosted by Partnership Gwinnett, the summit highlighted the innovation, collaboration, and forward-thinking partnerships driving growth across Gwinnett County and the broader metro area.
This year’s program featured in-depth looks at several cutting-edge initiatives, including the Living Labs project in partnership with Rowen, Bizztech, and Jakarto’s Digital Twins Pilot with the Curiosity Lab of Peachtree Corners, as well as the Kamstrup project with The Water Tower. Attendees also engaged in panel discussions focused on innovation and technology advancements within K–12 education, healthcare services, and the life sciences sector. An industry dialogue featuring leaders from Geotab, TeamSpring, and Google explored the implementation of automation and artificial intelligence and its impact on organizational culture.
“Technology is one of our top five target sectors for a reason,” said Kevin Carmichael, Senior Vice President of Economic Development for Partnership Gwinnett. “The speed of innovation and technology adoption fuels business growth, strengthens talent development and workforce retention, and supports thriving communities. The State of Technology Summit helps connect those dots and reinforces why attracting and growing tech companies is critical to Gwinnett’s future.”
The summit also recognized standout organizations across the 29-county metropolitan statistical area for their leadership and innovation in technology. The 2025 State of Technology Summit Award recipients were:
- Innovation Award: This Dot Labs
- Tech for Good Award: NexGen Biobanking
- Gwinnett Future Builders Award: Synchronize IT Solutions
“Amazon is proud to sponsor the State of Technology Summit and celebrate the innovators shaping Georgia’s tech ecosystem,” said Terreta Rodgers, Head of Community Affairs for Amazon. “Events like this spotlight the leadership and collaboration that make Georgia the top state for business and align with our commitment to community investment and workforce development.”
