Partnership Gwinnett hosted the Student Teacher Achievement Recognition (STAR) Reception at the John C. Maxwell Leadership Center in Duluth, celebrating the highest-achieving high school seniors and their most academically influential teachers. The annual event, sponsored by the Professional Association of Georgia Educators (PAGE) and the PAGE Foundation, brought together more than 200 students, teachers, and guests in recognition of academic excellence and mentorship.
A Celebration of Academic Achievement
“The STAR Reception highlights the important connection between education and workforce development,” said Nick Masino, President and CEO of the Gwinnett Chamber and Partnership Gwinnett. “Programs like this one align with Partnership Gwinnett’s mission to develop the workforce needed for today and the future, and we would like to congratulate this year’s honorees on their achievements.”
The PAGE STAR program recognizes high school seniors who achieve the highest SAT scores on a single test taken through the November test date of their senior year. To qualify, students must have scores equal to or higher than the 2024 national average in math, reading, and writing and must rank in the top 10% of their class or be among the top 10 students based on GPA.
This year’s STAR students and teachers represent Gwinnett County Public Schools, Buford City Schools, and private schools across Gwinnett County.
