LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. — The City of Lawrenceville has announced a schedule change for its Large Item (Bulk) Pick-Up service following recent inclement weather.
Large item pick-ups originally scheduled for Friday, February 6, will now be collected on Friday, February 13, according to Lawrenceville Utilities. Requests submitted after February 6 will be scheduled for Friday, February 20.
City officials remind residents that large item pick-ups are not collected on regular trash days and must be scheduled in advance. The service is offered once per week on Fridays and includes items such as discarded appliances, mattresses, small furniture, and electronics.
What Residents Need to Know
- Sanitation customers receive two free large item pick-ups per week
- Additional items cost $10 per item and are billed to the customer’s utility account
- Items must be placed curbside the night before the scheduled pick-up
- Items placed out without a scheduled request will not be collected
The City does not accept tires, batteries, paint, or commercial and construction materials through this service. Limb pick-up, leaf collection, and bagged grass clippings are also excluded and are handled on regular trash collection days. Large limb loads may incur additional fees:
- Full truckload: $200
- Half truckload: $100
City officials say the structured weekly schedule helps maintain efficiency within the Sanitation Department and allows crews additional time to focus on city upkeep and beautification.
Residents can schedule a pick-up online or by calling Customer Service at 678-407-6675. More information is available at Lville.City/LargeItemPU.
For disposal of prohibited items, residents are encouraged to visit the Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful website for approved disposal locations. Additional landfill resources include Oak Grove Landfill in Winder and Richland Creek Landfill in Buford.
