Greater Eastside Chamber of Commerce Expands into Regional Economic Stimulator
North Georgia – The Greater Eastside Chamber of Commerce (GECC) announced today that it
has expanded its geographic reach and member impact into a regional model to help small
businesses grow and thrive in north Georgia.

While continuing to serve business members in theGwinnett cities of Snellville, Grayson, and Loganville, it will now include 10 additional cities in four counties – Gwinnett, DeKalb, Rockdale, and Newton counties. Additional cities who can now engage in GECC’s new economic development offerings include Lawrenceville, Dacula, Lithonia, Stonecrest, Covington, Conyers, Almon, Oxford, Porterdale, and Walnut Grove.

“There are too many businesses serving the east, west, and south communities of north Georgia attempting to grow, scale and sustain their businesses without a chamber home that is committed to listening to their economic developing needs, creating programs and opportunities that meet those needs, and being a collective voice in the larger economy statewide and nationally,” said GECC President Derrick J. Wilson.

The expansion is part of a year-long strategic planning effort by Wilson, the Board of Directors, and other stakeholders. It includes a new look through a refreshed brand that better represents the chamber’s vision as an economic growth engine. Members can get excited as GECC unveils one of the most robust business training and development programs in the marketplace for business leaders to learn and transform.

GECC is backing up its commitment to offer bold exposure opportunities that spawn real growth for all of its members through several new partnership announcements. These include NCG Cinemas, a growing brand of movie theaters calling Georgia home in addition to Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee, North Carolina, and South Carolina. GECC members can expect new digital marketing promotional opportunities through this partnership. Other partnerships include vending opportunities with the Georgia SWARM, the state’s professional lacrosse team.

More partnership opportunities to come. Members should also stay tuned to what’s in store with new regional magazines – coming soon.

“Here at the Greater Eastside Chamber of Commerce, we define a small business as those employers who keep our economy moving but are often overshadowed and overlooked by big businesses with big names. We believe that it takes small and big businesses working together to sustainably fuel an inclusive business economy in north Georgia. We are not sizeists. We are committed to making growth a reality for the collective businesses we serve. Small business is Big Business here at GECC!” says Wilson.
