Gateway85 CID Celebrates Oakbrook Parkway Sidewalk Ribbon-Cutting and Community Milestones

The sidewalk ribbon-cutting scheduled for today along Oakbrook Parkway is not just about the one-and-a-half-mile sidewalk addition for Gateway85 CID. It serves as a rallying point to showcase all the initiatives Gateway85 CID has implemented over the past few months. These initiatives include the launch of the microtransit route in partnership with Norcross and Gwinnett Transportation, a comprehensive right-of-way cleanup with Gibson’s Landscape, revitalization of over 100 miles within the CID’s 14 square miles, and the launch of the American Dream Hall of Fame.

In this Hub of World Diversity, these activities impact both the business community and the residents who live, work, and study within Gateway85 CID’s boundaries. This new sidewalk symbolizes the connection between communities, bringing together 181 nationalities, 108 languages, and a population where 30.2% were born outside the United States. This incredible diversity is something we find truly unique in this country, and we are proud of the ongoing partnership between Gateway85 CID and Gwinnett County to improve economic development and quality of life.
