maierAMERICA Celebrates Major Expansion in Gwinnett County

The spotlight is on maierAMERICA’s recent grand opening of their new facility, which took place on Tuesday, September 24. The maierAmerica expansion, which increases the size of their previous location in Gwinnett to 20,500 square feet, reflects the company’s steady growth.

Rob Kuehl, CEO of maierAMERICA, expressed the significance of the expansion, stating, “This growth underscores maierAMERICA’s commitment to meeting increasing demand and establishing itself as an industry leader. We are excited about the positive impact this will have on the community, as we continue providing second chances and creating opportunities for individuals to rebuild their lives through meaningful employment and skill development.”

Christian Maier GmbH & Co. KG, the parent company of maierAMERICA, has operated for nearly 100 years, with subsidiaries like maierAMERICA specializing in rotary joints, or “unions,” used across nearly 20 industries. With over 200 employees and a focus on customer satisfaction, sustainability, and workforce development, the maierGROUP serves more than 500 applications globally. In September 2025, maierAMERICA will celebrate 25 years of operation in the U.S. market.

Florian Maier, Managing Partner of Christian Maier GmbH & Co. KG, emphasized the importance of the expansion in Gwinnett, commenting, “Innovating and growing in Gwinnett and the Americas is a significant milestone for the company.”

Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners Chairwoman Nicole Love Hendrickson shared her excitement, saying, “maierAMERICA’s decision to expand in Gwinnett aligns with our county’s sustainability goals. Their commitment to eco-friendly practices and job creation will benefit the community.”

Andreas Greiner, Managing Director of Christian Maier GmbH & Co. KG, added, “Our presence in the Americas reflects our mission to deliver world-class reliability and service to customers around the world.”

With the tagline “Rotary Joints by maierGROUP – A Union for Life,” the company continues to focus on quality, reliability, and long-term partnerships, turning challenges into solutions for their clients.

The expansion project was led by Partnership Gwinnett Economic Development Director Andrew Hickey, in collaboration with the Georgia Department of Economic Development, Metro Atlanta Chamber, Georgia Power, and Gwinnett County Government.

Kristi Brigman, Deputy Commissioner of Global Commerce at the Georgia Department of Economic Development, highlighted the advantages of Gwinnett’s location, including proximity to the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, the Ports of Savannah and Brunswick, and access to extensive rail and highway networks. She noted that “Georgia’s strong relationships with German companies are further reinforced by maierAMERICA’s expansion.”

Matthias Hoffmann, President and CEO of the AHK German American Chamber of Commerce, praised the investment in Gwinnett, pointing out its role in strengthening German-American ties and advancing shared goals of innovation and sustainable growth.

The Honorable Melanie Moltmann, Consul General at the German Consulate General in Atlanta, commended the company’s success, remarking, “Maier’s expansion emphasizes the strong industrial and cultural relationships between Germany and the U.S., particularly in key states like Georgia.”

Partnership Gwinnett Vice President Deven Cason expressed excitement for maierAMERICA’s focus on workforce development, particularly their initiatives for technical professionals and specialized internships, which will help build a stronger, more skilled workforce in the county.
