Stockbridge Assistant Police Chief Glenn Kalish has been tapped to serve as Interim Police Chief for the City of Lilburn.
Mayor Tim Dunn gave the oath of office to Kalish today at the Lilburn Police Department headquarters.
Kalish, a 28-year law enforcement veteran, began his career with the Fulton County Police Department and, in 2006, was a founding member of the Sandy Springs Police Department.
Kalish served as the Special Operations Commander with the Georgia Tech Police Department before joining the Stockbridge Police Department, where he is currently the Assistant Chief.
Additionally, he has served as Deputy Commander of the North Metro SWAT Team, Patrol Commander, Criminal Investigations Supervisor and FBI Task Force Supervisor.
Kalish is to serve as Interim Chief until Sept. 1, then return to full duty in Stockbridge. A search will be conducted for a permanent replacement in Lilburn.
