Is your nonprofit seeking to broaden its impact? Gwinnett County will open applications for its Nonprofit Capacity Building Grant on Thursday, August 1. This initiative is designed to support nonprofits adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, with financial assistance made available through the American Rescue Plan Act funding.

The County has allocated $5 million to enhance the effectiveness of local nonprofits, enabling them to have a greater impact on the community. The funding is intended for organizations that provide essential services in the following areas:

  • Food Security
  • Housing
  • Health and Wellness
  • Youth, Literacy, and Learning
  • Addressing Barriers to Access, such as transportation or providing culturally and linguistically responsive services

Nonprofits can apply for either capital or operational support:

  • Capital Support: For projects that enhance capacity through capital needs, including equipment, software solutions, and vehicles.
  • Operational Support: Aimed at offering technical assistance and learning modules to expand organizational capabilities.

Applications will be accepted from August 1 through August 30 via the grant application portal. All applicants must register with GovGrants to submit an application.
