Teaching Support

https://www.GoodMorningGwinnett.com The School of Education at Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC) has been awarded a Teacher Quality Grant (TQP) from the U.S. Department of Education of more than $3.7 million, disbursed over five years. GGC is the only Georgia institution among 22 schools nationwide selected to receive this funding.

There are over 180,000 students in the Gwinnett County School system. In order for our children to continue to get the type of education that they deserve, we have make sure that our teachers and future teachers get the support and training that they need.

There were many teachers who left the profession during the pandemic. There were some who left after the pandemic as well. Both groups were feeling overwhelmed and also felt they needed more support to help them either stay in the profession or the support to help them do their jobs better.

This grant will be able to help get the teachers the support and resources that they need to continue to do their job better.
